A motorcycle speedway team that you must know
Many of the Motorcycle Speedway teams had already joined in a motorcycle race. In England, there is always a motorcycle racing competition every Sunday night from April up to October. One of the Motorcycle Speedway team that actively participate in the said competition is the Newcastle Diamonds. They start the race from their homes at the Newcastle Stadium on the Fossway, Byker. The stadium is now being used for greyhound racing with the speedway track built in the centre. The speedway is accessible to wheelchair users.
Some of the former Speedway Grand Prix riders started their careers with the Newcastle Diamonds. There were unlucky riders who died after crashing at the track. This club actually import young foreign talents. There are notable Newcastle riders and are known as the highest averaged riders such as Paul Bentley, Nicki Pedersen, Jesper Olsen, Bjarne Pedersen, Kenneth Bjerre, and Jason Lyons, James Grieves, Josef Franc, Mark Lemon, Kenni Larsen, and Stuart Robson. There were also the Rider of the Year as nominated by supporters.
The awards or titles that are usually given to those who win during the competition are World Champions, National League Riders Championship, Provincial League Riders Championship, and Premier League Riders Championship. There is also a Regional honour title which is the Sport Newcastle Team of the Year. For Team honors, there are 19 titles such as Provincial League Champions, National League Champions, Premier League Champions, Premier Trophy Winners, Premier Shield Winners, Gold Cup Winners, and more. The Newcastle Diamonds team is under the league SGB Championship.
